Welcome to Black Hill Books, a business I started back in 1972 which has steadily grown and seen quite a few changes.

As a child I was an avid reader of comics and Old Boy's books, my favourites were The Eagle and The Rover. By my early teens I had an enviable collection, that is until I came home from boarding school one day to find that my mother had given the lot away to the church bazaar.

So began my dealing in the world of second hand books. I used to do odd jobs, saving money to trade on comics and annuals in order to re-build my collection. Over the years my hobby became a business and today we send our monthly catalogues to clients all over the world.

I now source mostly crime and mystery fiction both vintage and modern. But a recent addition, and a firm favourite of mine, has been westerns and they are proving very popular.
